Waiheke Island

  • This project involved concurrent land use planning and subdivision processes to facilitate the continued development of a local winery. The subdivision was required to amend existing boundaries between adjoining rural landholdings to allow better utilisation of that land.
  • In that manner the commercial vineyard maintained access to land essential for grape production whilst the neighbouring property gained access to unproductive land for the development of a significant dwelling. Existing bush land not already protected was identified and protected utilising land covenants.
